A grom is a young person riding bikes, snowboarding, surfing, or doing other outdoorsy things. Many times better than you are.
Ex: "Those little groms send it better than you."
We want to encourage mountain biking and make it accessible to any kid and young adult who wants to become involved. We want young riders to have the community and the resources that keep it fun and safe. We hope to inspire the young mtb community to become involved in all aspects of the South Florida Trails, including trail building and maintenance.

Creation and Support of "The Squad"
FUN, FUN, FUN
Any young rider who wants to be part of this MTB Community is welcome to be a member of "The Grom Squad". We are all inclusive. Members of "The Squad" are expected to be young ambassadors of South Florida Mountain Biking and represent the sport in a respectful and inspiring way at all times. Older Groms may guide kid rides on their home trails and all Groms are encouraged to participate in trail work days and other trail events. Experienced Groms are selected from different home trails as guides in order to unify the young riders of our many local trails into one supportive community.
